A brain is one live model of how your business runs and of the world it runs in: what it is made of, how it connects, and the state of all of it, built from your systems, your spreadsheets, your documents and your people, and kept true.

Retrieving is not understanding.
Tools that talk to your documents retrieve text that resembles your question. A brain represents the business explicitly: who reports to whom, what depends on what, what happened and what it caused. The difference shows the first time you ask something that requires understanding rather than search.

Every brain starts from the same core: the entity types and relationships any business is made of. On top of it we build your ontology with you, and add the meaning: what every measure is and every field means, in your words. That is what lets any model, agent or product that reads the brain understand your business the way your people do. Every fact is stamped with the version it was written under, so the map can keep growing without breaking what the brain already believed.

Every answer is grounded.
Every fact traces to its source, carries when it was true and when we learned it, and holds an explicit confidence. Nothing is overwritten. And when there is no record, the brain says so.

Every source lands on the same spine, so adding a new one is small: everything behind it is already built.

Numbers come from the data
Every figure is computed directly from your records, deterministically. A model may choose which question to ask, never what the number is, and the arithmetic audits back to the row it came from.
One definition everywhere
Net revenue means the same thing in Meridian, in an agent’s report and in Claude, because every figure is computed from the definition agreed with your team.
Two clocks on every fact
When it was true, and when we learned it. The brain can answer what it believed at any past moment.
Nothing is lost
A changed row supersedes the old one and a correction is a new fact, so the history survives every change, and sending the same data twice changes nothing.
Your data is held on its own: its own database and storage, in your region, never pooled with another client’s.
Keeping the brain true is a surface of its own, used by your technical and administrative people as well as by us: the sources, the definitions, the models, the access, and every action on the record.
